At Peaceful Paws we know that saying goodbye to a beloved pet can feel overwhelming and it often comes with many questions.

We have put together some clear and caring answers to the questions we are most often asked. If there is something you would like to know that isn’t covered here, please do not hesitate to ask, we are always here to listen and help.

How are my pet’s ashes returned?

Ashes are carefully placed in a simple and respectful container and returned directly to you. We also offer a range of urns and keepsakes if you would like something more personal.

What pets do you cremate?

At Peaceful Paws we understand that pets come in all shapes and sizes and each one is loved just as deeply.

We provide cremation services for:

Small pets: Hamsters, gerbils, mice, rats, guinea pigs, rabbits, chinchillas and ferrets

Birds: From Finches and Budgies to Cockatoos and Parrots

Reptiles: Including snakes, Bearded Dragons, geckos and tortoises

Amphibians & Aquatic animals: Such as frogs, toads, turtles and fish

Cats and dogs: From kittens and toy dog breeds through to large dogs

Other pets and small livestock: Including goats, sheep and pet pigs

If your companion is not listed here please contact us, we are always happy to talk through your needs with care and understanding.

Is home collection available?

Yes. We offer a caring home collection service across Norfolk and Suffolk during office hours. Whether your pet has passed away at home or at your vets, we can arrange transport to ensure they are handled with dignity and respect. We understand that pets do not always pass away during office hours and for those times we offer an out of hours collection service. Please let us know if this is something you might need and we can talk you through the options.

How quickly will my pet’s ashes be returned?

We understand how important it is to have your pet back home with you. In most cases, ashes are returned within a few days. If you need a quicker service, please let us know and we will do all we can to meet your wishes.

What if my pet needs to be euthanised?

We work closely with a trusted local vets who can provide this service if needed. Find out more here.

When the time comes, Peaceful Paws can collect your pet directly afterwards, so everything is handled with care at the same time.
